Ralf Bucher is European and German Patent Attorney and European Trademark and Design Attorney. Mr. Bucher received a Diploma in electrical engineering and information technology in 1994 and studied also several years computer sciences. He is specialized in electrical engineering, electronics, analog and digital circuits, semiconductors, software, computer programs, telecommunication, information technology, and medical technology. During his Diploma work, Mr. Bucher implemented algorithms for the retiming of digital synchronous circuits with an object-oriented programming language. Especially, he analyzed the efficiency of new algorithms for the retiming of digital filter circuits.

After graduation Mr. Bucher worked for several years with the Siemens AG in the field of semiconductors and designed integrated circuits for information technology applications. He developed an EEPROM with redundancy which was applied in a microcontroller of a digital wireless telephone.

Before founding his own patent law firm in 2003, Mr. Bucher worked with the patent department of the Siemens AG and was responsible for the business branches wireless systems, analog and digital transceivers, and semiconductor technology which was later on separated as Infineon Technologies AG. During his training for becoming a patent attorney, Mr. Bucher participated in patent infringement proceedings at the district court of Düsseldorf as law student in order to gain experience in patent infringement disputes. 

Mr. Bucher is a member of GRUR, VPP, FICPI, VDI, VDE and IEEE.
